Any family or individual who is struggling should never hesitate to research what assistance programs are available through their local state or county government. After all, it is what your tax dollars are paying for. In Cleveland, we are lucky to have a wonderful organization, Gesher Cleveland, who can help!

Our community partner, Gesher Cleveland, is a collaborative nonprofit resource center whose goal is to create a more prosperous and self-sustaining Jewish community. Founded by our very own Rabbi Avrohom Adler, Gesher has been helping facilitate community members' applications for government assistance for nearly a decade.
Provides benefits to help pay for food and groceries.
Medical insurance for adults.
Helps pay for childcare so parents can go to work or school.
Performs in home energy audit and installs energy efficient measures to reduce electric usage.
Makes electric and gas bills the same year-round and is based on a percentage of income.
Provides assistance to help pay for home energy bills once during a 12-month period.
Provides money toward food, health care referrals and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding post-partum women and to infants and child up to age 5.
Provides assistance to improve energy efficiency in homes and reduce energy costs.
Rate reduction of up to 40 percent on water and/or sewer bills and/or one time assistance programs available. FPIG varies by program
Free or low cost health insurance for children.
Private school tuition assistance.
